WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO CLASS: your laptop computer, (if you do not have one you can still take the class and follow along with the hand-outs and watch others) power cord, PhotoShop Elements 10 downloaded on your computer or an earlier version of PSE. You can download a free trial version of PSE 10 from Adobe. Don't download it too soon as your trial may run out before class! It takes a while to download because it is the full version. Your own photo's to work with after the instructional part of class is over.
CLASS DESCRIPTION: YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS BASIC 1 TO TAKE PSEB 2. This class will cover the following editing tools; How to use layers; Enhancing colors; Replacing colors; Blurring the background; Swapping one part of a photo for another; invitations; and much more. The class is divided into two sections: one is instructional and the second part is a lab where you work on your photos practicing techniques you learned with the instructor at hand.
Meet Bonnie B! Bonnie B (I am just Bonnie!) is the engineer behind the teaching of the two PhotoShop Elements Classes. She owns her own consulting company for software development, integration and consulting. So, she knows a thing or two about PhotoShop Elements and how it was put together! As one of our students said, "I enjoyed meeting you (Bonnie) and the other students! The bonus of course, is that I actually paid attention and learned a few things. Bonnie B. is a fabulous teacher and I am looking forward to seeing her again. NJH" With that said, Bonnie B has a degree in Math and Computer Science and she has programmed in over 15 different languages! Wow! I have trouble with one!! As you read this, Bonnie B is working on another degree and that is one in photography from the New York Institute of Photography!! CLASS DESCRIPTION: Kids learn about digital things very quickly. The class will teach the kids how to take care of their camera, load the batteries, memory cards, hold it correctly, correct shutter button depression, what the icons are and how to use them. They will also learn about composition and take lots of pictures in class.
